Jane Chifley

THE JOURNEY SO FAR...

Jane was born in Bathurst, Australia. From Irish background whose ancestors came over several generations ago. She grew up in Bathurst attending local school and going to college in her hometown.

She taught in primary schools, also teaching drama and music. Most of her teaching has been in Sydney.

Jane is a Catholic singer/songwriter/recording artist. Whose hope is that people come to a deeper personal relationship with Jesus through the music he has given her to share.

She have been writing songs for as long as she can remember. (formally for about ten years) Having taught herself guitar and having no formal training in music. She write all styles of music and enjoys all types of music.

Jane has performed at concerts, rallies and have been involved in youth worship, Aboriginal reconciliation and inter-church gatherings/rallies. She has a heart to see contemporary music used in Evangelisation and in healing and unity between churches, races and nations. Her music often reflects this. Such as "The Sorry Song" an Aboriginal reconciliation song (which was released in Australia).

ABOUT "HEARTBEATS"

Heartbeats a CD that is a reflection on the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary (the front cover reflecting this). It attempts to explain how God loves us with mercy through his Sacred Heart and the graces that come through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The songs are quiet and meditative sung with only voice and acoustic guitar. One song in particular "More of You" reflects on our constant need of the mercy of God to overcome our weaknesses. Another song "This little soul" is a reflection on St. Therese.
